Nothing New...

Hi, friends! I haven't posted anything interesting in a while. We've been busy, but haven't really done anything. Do you ever have times like that?

Let's see, what's been going on?? Hmm...We bought Makayla a wooden playset for her birthday. (Yes, her birthday is in July. Its a really early gift!) Anyway, this thing is huge and such a pain to put together! Jacob started on it last weekend, he put the slide and the glider thing together. This weekend we both worked on it. We got the swingset part put together, and most of the fort. Lucky for us she napped for about 3 and a half hours both Saturday and Sunday, so we made progress. Of course she was very 'helpful' when she woke up! It will take a while longer, but hopefully we'll get done this weekend coming up. I know Makayla will just love it! She loves to be outside - playing soccer, running around, throwing the balls, chasing bubbles - anything!

Here is what is will look like...eventually!! We aren't going to put the monkey bars on quite yet...

A while ago we went to Drew and Kate's to eat dinner and let the girls play. Em and Makayla are so cute when they get together. And they are finally at the stage where they really play. They were tickling each other, playing chase, tag, putting puzzles together, etc. Makayla asked for Emily the whole way there and kept asking where she was on the way home! So cute!

Last week was teacher appreciation week. Jacob's school got the teachers Frisco RoughRiders tickets. (Minor League Baseball). One of his coach friends rode with us and we met up with a couple of more coaches and their wives when we got there. The game was kind of boring, but we had a good time. We left early and went back to some friend's house for soical-time! We had an amazing babysitter, and Makayla had a good night too!

Only a few more weeks of school left until summer! I cannot wait!! I want to get Makayla into swim lessons somewhere, we will be spending a lot of time at the pool again this year. Jacob and I are heading to St. Louis to visit his sister and we are leaving Makayla there for 5 days while we head to Cancun! YAY!! CAN'T WAIT!!
