Big Girl Room!

Makayla has been in a toddler bed since June, but we've finally gotten around to redecorating her room. It was black, white, and red with ladybugs. (Here's the post from her nursery pics.) When I found out I was having a girl, I swore there would be NO PINK!! Her room wouldn't be pink, she wouldn't wear pink, no bows, etc. Now, though, she leaves the house looking like Pepto Bismol and will tell you her favorite color is pink. I have no idea how that happened, but I'm going with it! So, when we re-did her room, it had to be pink.

I picked out two different bedspreads and let her choose. Its white with pink, orange, and yellow-ish flowers and butterflies. Not too pink, but girly and cute. We bought some rugs, and two flower shaped lamps for the walls. They have these green cords that are suppose to be a stem and leaf. I'm still working on that!! We got flower 'wallies' and stuck them to the wall along with little white butterflies. We got a pink 'house' for her zillion stuffed animals, a pink bean bag chair, and some pretty flowers and vases. We had these sticker things that go on the wall that said, "Once Upon a Time there was a Princess" with tons of stars. Jacob put them on her door and she thinks its 'magic' now. She calls it her "magic door". She LOVES her new room!!

Here are some pics...Enjoy!
