Friday was Makayla's last day of daycare with Mrs. Kim. She's been going there since she was 9 weeks old. I cried when I picked her up. Kim has been awesome, she's really cared about Makayla as well as caring for her. We were so lucky to have found her!! In the fall she'll be starting at Galaxy Ranch Private School. She's excited about going to Pre-School and she'll be learning a lot.
Cute Story:
Last week her little friend, Noah, went up to her at daycare and grabbed her hand. He said, "Makay-ra, will you be my girlfriend?". To which she replied, "No, I'm sorry, I can't. I'm Daddy's girl." MELTS.MY.HEART. Let's hope she keeps that mentality for the next 20 years!!
Summer has officially started as the last day of school was Friday. Good news is that Jacob got a new job working in Allen ISD and has no more coaching duties! So we get to have 2 and a half months DUTY FREE!! And he'll actually be home during football season!!
We went out on the boat Sunday and Makayla turned into quite the little fishy! She loves the water, but last year wanted us to be holding her even though she had her life jacket on. She didn't trust it to keep her up. But on Sunday she just floated and swam around all by herself! She would jump off of the boat and kick and paddle right back all by herself. She starts swim lessons on the 14th, she'll do great!!
We've planned a family vacation to Chicago for the end of June. Makayla will be flying to St. Louis with her Aunt Jennie on the 24th and we'll be driving up there on the 28th. We're heading to Chicago to visit Wrigley Field at watch a Cub's game on July 1st. We're going to hit the Lincoln Zoo and a beach while we're there. If you've ever been and have any suggestions on where to go or things to do, let me know!! We are exctied!! (but not about the driving!!)
No pictures on this post because my camera is broken. :( It does still take pictures, but the screen on the back is broken so I have no idea what I'm taking pictures of or how they turned out until I plug it in to my computer. Boo.
Hope you're enjoy the 100 degree weather! HA.
