PreSchool

Well, my baby girl is in pre-school!  How did that happen?  She is such a big girl now.  It shocks me the things she does and says.  She is attending Galaxy Ranch for their Pre-K 3 program.  It includes a weekly swimming class, a weekly Spanish class, and a weekly music class.  We debated doing a dance class through them too, but after talking to other people who have done it, we don't think it will be worth it.  So we'll start gymnastics again soon instead.

The first day she didn't cry at all, she was great.  However everyday for the next two weeks she cried every morning and had to be pried off of me.  It was horrible.  I hated it!  She started out in the the 2 year old class because they didn't do their 'move-up' until Aug. 23.  Her class was mostly 3 year olds, but some older twos and it was very full - over 20 kids!!  Too big for Pre-K!!  She moved classes on the 23rd and its like a different kid in the mornings!  She LOVES it!  Her teacher is amazing and her class is only 12 or 13 kids now.  They are practicing writing and learning new songs and all kinds of fun stuff.  Her teacher commented on how smart Makayla is (way above average, according to Mrs. D!) and how good and sweet.  She is so impressed by how well she listens and follows the rules.  I love hearing such positive things about my kid!    Here are some pictures from the first day.  (No, she didn't take the blankie!)
