Baptism

We FINALLY officially joined the church and got Makayla baptized this April.  Jennie and her family were able to come in for it too.  It was really special since she understood that we were promising to love God and to help her love God.  She really has such a sweet heart and love for Him, its so precious.  We asked to have the baptism between services rather than during.  Reverend Pool officiated, he's wonderful, we were so glad he was able to do it.

**Please excuse the horrible, ugly bruise on her temple.  She was on the 4 wheeler with Chance (Jacob's 9 year old nephew) and they hit a bump and she hit her head on the handlebars.  They knew better than to ride it alone, and I think the incident reminded them why they have to be more careful.  We are lucky it didn't hit and inch to the right or it would've gotten her eye.

I attempted to take some pics of Makayla in her baptism dress in the bluebonnets.  Attempted being the key word.  It was SUPER windy, and the sun was in her face.  This kid HATES the sun.  She complains when we have to walk in it and when we have to leave the shade.  And OMG, when its in her face the world may as well end.  (And yes, we live in Texas)  I swear she'll have to move to Seattle or somewhere like that when she gets older.  Anyway, pictures were not a success, but, I tried!

She did NOT want to get her dress dirty!
