Back to School

Jacob and I aren't the only ones who've gone back to school recently. When we go to school, Makayla goes too! She is old enough now to be involved in the curriculum activites at daycare. The curriculum is for 2 year olds, but Kim says that Makayla is doing great and is really understanding and participating. I'm so proud! This month they've talked about family, home vs. school, transportation, hello vs. goodbye, and expressions/feelings. We've even had homework!

We had to make a collage of pictures of the family. Our family is quite large so I limited it to parents and grandparents (and 'brothers'!) Check out the pictures of us working! I put the glue on and she patted the pictures into place. I even let her pick where to put them. (I might have given suggestions though!)

The finished product!
When they were talking about transportation she made this steering wheel. She likes to 'drive' to Mrs. Kim's house. She even honks the horn!Today they did crafts. The ladybugs are her fingerprints! Too cute!!!
When they were talking about feelings they practiced making faces for each feeling. Makayla makes the cutest 'excited' face! I've got to catch it with the camera - she's adorable!!
I had to cut her bangs on Monday. They were just hanging in her eyes all of the time. She looks like such a toddler now and not so much like a baby. It broke my heart - I even cried!! My baby is all grown up!! (Sniff, sniff...) I'll get pictures and post them soon, promise!!
