We've had a pretty rough week around here. Makayla has had a bit of a cough, but it got worse Friday and she started running fever Sunday evening. When it was still going strong on Wednesday, we took her to the doctor. It was flu and an ear infection. She's on antibiotics (which taste so gross that I have to mix the stuff with chocolate syrup and spoon it to her) and breathing treatments. No fun. Fever broke on Wednesday night, and she was back at school on Friday. She is much better now. Still a bit of a cough, but SO MUCH better than she was!
Today we got a super surprise - SNOW!! It started around noon and went pretty steady until 5:30. We have 2" or 3". Since she's been sick we didn't stay outside for long, but we just had to go make snow angels and a snowman! We were out for about 5 minutes, but we both had a great time!! They are calling for freezing rain tonight and treacherous travel conditions in the morning. We're waiting to see if we'll have school tomorrow.
Its nothing like the snow we had last year, but it sure is pretty!
