The Gregory Family: Spring Break!

Ever have those weeks where you don't do much, but love every second of it? And they go by so fast it feels like it never even happened?? That was us this week. Jacob and I were both on Spring Break, so of course Makayla was too. We cleaned out the flower beds and the garage, scrubbed bathrooms and the kitchen, mopped, vacuumed, wiped down baseboards, etc...The house looks great! We went to the playground, went to Boomerangs, went shopping, bought a foosball table and a dart board. Had friends over Friday evening, went to Hunter's birthday party Saturday. Layed around, played around, just had fun family time.

I didn't have my camera out too much this week. Just wanted to enjoy the moments, not capture them! But here are more details of our adventures and some of the pictures I did take!

We started out cleaning the garage and the flower beds. Makayla was so funny. Jacob had the hose out washing down some stuff and of course little missy was into everything so we took her over there to rinse off her legs. Next thing I know, she is soaked from head to toe, just laughing! She took the hose and sprayed herself all over! I think she is ready for the pool!

A while back, we met BFF Emily and Kate at Boomerangs for a morning of fun and play. We thought it would be fun to go back. We got there later and the place was packed! Not the best time to be there, we stayed for about an hour though, she had an okay time, but it was much more fun the first time!

Granny and Pap kept Makayla Thursday night so Jacob and I could have 'grown-up' time. We went to dinner and to a sports bar to watch basketball. We had a really fun time! We're so lucky Dad and Linda are always so willing to keep Makayla for us!

Friday evening, Kate, Drew, and Emily, and Yomaida, Scott, and Brayden came by. The kids had such a great time playing, I can't wait for April's playgroup! I did take some pictures, but they didn't turn out, maybe Yomaida got some cute ones?? (hint, hint!) Nip, Anthony, and Kingsley from next door came by too, but they didn't get to stay for long. We'll have to have another get together soon so everyone can come (Stacey and Derek) and stay longer!

Yesterday was Hunter's birthday party. We had so much fun!! Makayla hadn't had a nap - it was right around naptime, so I was a little worried about how'd she'd do. She was a littly clingy at first, but she got better on the hayride after a dip in the creek with Pap! You should've seen her, she couldn't get her shoes off fast enough! She couldn't wait to feel the mud between her toes and splash in the water! Little River Rat!! She started a trend, the rest of the kiddos got in too and they all had so much fun! The big kids were jumping off of the back of the trailor and jumping back on as it was (SLOWLY) going. Of course Makayla wanted to do it too. She took off towards the back before I knew what was going on - luckily Pap was there to stop her! It was such a fun day!!
