There's a Wocket in my Pocket!

Today was the Dr. Suess parade at Makayla's school.  She had to wear a costume and everything.  She has a stuffed Wocket MomMom gave her that she just LOVES, so we decided she could be a "pocket" for her wocket.  I am quite possibly the least crafty person in the universe, so while that sounds like a great, easy idea, I was stressed.  I think her costume turned out pretty cute, and she was the only 'pocket' there!  I even got to go watch the parade, I had someone cover my class so I could make it.  She was so excited!!

The 'supplies'  Wocket (of course), a shirt (HAD to be pink, a denim bag, and iron-on adhesive.  I had issues with the iron-on stuff, so I ended up using glue and hand sewing the bag on the shirt.

I put the iron on stuff on the bag, then ironed it to the shirt, again, not a great success.  As it was cooling I cut off the handles.

I traced the book cover writing on card-stock and glued it to the bag.
Complete with 'Wocket'

Ta-Da!!

She made the cat hat at school and asked her teacher to paint whiskers on her.

Blowing me kisses!

Silly girl had a great time!!
